Sportpesa: Is Sport pesa real?

Every weekend football fans gather in the football halls to watch the matches of the day.I n the past few years most of the fans were young boys aged between 16-35 years but in the recently the number of fans has greatly increased with all ages and gender being represented, just because the issue of cash is involved in the game."Betting".
The real fans always go in the stadium and arenas to enjoy the match and cheer their team. Those who watch because of the bet always watch when they are worried and they always want the scores concerning the way they have put a bet. Unnecessary and irritating noises are now days the order of the day in the halls as every person wants a win or a draw in order to put cash in the pocket.
Many cases have been reported concerning the issue of betting. people have lost their properties and some even losing their live when they lose a bet. Recently a man in Uganda committed suicide when he lost a bet worth about 16,000 Kenya shillings during the match between Arsenal and Monaco when he predicted the win to Arsenal but the result came in the opposite way with Monaco winning the match.
Good news for those who have not given up in putting the bets as the betting is real. One person has already won a jackpot and to make the matters more good he was a standard seven dropout by the name Paul Wainaina. He is now a millionaire from the bet.Sportpesa is real.

EFFECT OF SMOKING

In one way or another you have smoked. Most people say that they have never smoked yet they are heavy smokers than those who smoke directly. those who are partial smokers get the highest pacentage of the cigarate than those who smoke directly.
In the university this is where most people are introduced to smoking. students join the university with innocent faces but when they finish their first year they are heavy smokers. While walking on the university corrdose during odd hours your nose will meet different type of smell. More so at the beginning of the year when new students are enrolled in the campus you will hear choking sounds showing that learners are being introduced  to smoking.
University students are heavy smokers who smoke different types including bhang.
Smoking has affected many people psychologically, mentally and physically.  Many students have ended up not finishing their learning and others differ because of healthy problems.

REASONS WHY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS GO ON STRIKE

Over the years, university students have hit the streets sometimes for justifiable reasons, at other times, the excuses are just absurd. Just recently, they threatened to go on strike over delayed loans from HELB, but thankfully, the stalemate was resolved when the loans were released to respective students.some of the odd excuses comrades have used to justify going on rampage. ‘Jwala’ dispensers drained University hostels have condom dispensers. Students, both male and female, love them until they visit a condom dispenser in their hour of need, only to find that the dispenser empty. As punishment, they will stone the administration for a whole 24 hours. The ‘poor brand’ of condom dished out for free only stokes the fire. 2. Exam fever University students, and most of them, fear examinations. Why is it that they always seem to come too soon? Some of them who have an allergy for exams, and always think the questions are too difficult, will organize a small strike to have the whole thing postponed.3. Chipo for Sh80? In 2012, the price of ‘chips’ at Moi University shot up by twenty shillings to 80 bob. Angered comrades threatened to teach café attendants, who had no idea who controlled the prices, a lesson. 3. Freebies Students want to be at a university where there is free Wi-Fi and many other free things. Keeping them at home for six months because the university has to deal with ‘double intake madness’ will not work. They will strike, and strike again just to be in college. 4 Insecurity and accommodation. Many universities all over the country has been affected with the issue of accommodation. This was brought about by double intake. This has caused students flooding in the institutions as a result insecurity has been noticed. Students are found dead, others severely injured and many female students are raped and brutally madder. Recently Moi University students were on the street demanding for their rights as on of them was found raped and her life terminated.

BLACKOUT

Moi university has fallen victim of frequent blackouts even after the vice chancellor addressed  the student and informing them about the permanent and electricity problem solving.
Since 23rd February the day after vice chancellor address, Moi university has been experiencing blackouts especially the Soweto areas where most hostels are concentrated. this has catalyst the students to loot the small shops found in the University compound in demand for food and electricity problem to be solved as were promised.
This problem has caused more than thirty student to be suspended indefinitely. This happened at the end of second semester in the year 2014 when students were doing their end term exams.  to make the matter worse some were fourth year students who were sitting for their last exam in the University. the cause of the suspension was the looting of the University shops and the "mama mboga's" business places.
Will this issue of power blackouts be solved in Moi University? Will the installation of the Soweto largest ever transformer solve this Problem? Time will tell let us watch.

KEEP ON TARGETING

Though life is fool of challenges but the best thing is to keep on trying and targeting the best. God created every person with a reason and a perpose so you should not lower yourself.
No one was born with cloths or no one was born with millions. when we were born we had equal chances of success.
Like in football you must keep on struggling. Last night when the UEFA champions league was being played everyone new that arsenal will win the match as the analysis ranked them to be the favorites over Monaco. what was expected became an expected as arsenal were hammered 3-1, to make matters worse the defeat was at their home ground in the eyes of their fans.
In life expect anything to happen and keep on struggling the way Monaco struggled.

WHO IS THE ACTION?

Its is now three days ago since Moi University students were on the street condemning the death of their fellow student who was found raped and brutally killed.
the student who was killed was a third year from the school of arts and social sciences. She had only remained with only three semesters for her to graduate. Her close friend say that she was killed after she had finished attending the christian union night prayers. Her friend parted ways and she headed to her room which was located outside the institution hostels. On her way she didn't no that this was the day that she was going to meet her death.
All the eyes allover the institution and country as a whole are looking at the administration to see what action are they going to take concerning the issue of insecurity and accommodation as this was the main cause.
In Moi University the number of students who are admitted is not direct proportion to that of the rooms. this has forced student to rent rooms outside the institution where their is no security at all and also the students are forced to walk long distances towards their respective lectures.
What action is going to be taken?

THE DARKEST AND SADDEST DAY IN MOI UNIVERSITY:

Yesterday was the darkest day and today has been the saddest day in Moi University as the students enter the second day of morning the death of a third year student in the school of arts and social sciences who was raped and brutally madered by the anonymous people.
the students gathered at the student center to be addressed on what action the administration is going to take as the issue of security has become a threat to comrades.
Something unusual happened as the students were gathering at the students center. One of the students courageously stood on the platform and announced that one of the comrade has been arrested concerning the demonstration that occur to condemn the killing of their fellow comrade. everything changed . howling were heard allover and the crowd matched towards the administration to demand for the release of their fellow comrade. when they reached the administration they demanded to be addressed by the arrested student and the vice chancellor only.
The student whom the student claimed that he has been arrested worsened even more when he emphasized about to be addressed by the vice chancellor.
When the deputy vice chancellor went on the podium to address the students he was booed and his speech fell in the deaf years of the comrades as they only wanted to be addressed by the vice chancellor."we are going to ensure that security is dealt with seriously, the power problem is going to be fully settled, the accommodation problem is also going to be settled." the deputy vice chancellor said.
the time that every student was waiting for came. students remained silent to hear and digest every word which will be attred by the vice chancellor." yesterday was the darkest day  and today is the saddest day in Moi university as we enter the second day of mourning", the vice chancellor said. " we are going to ensure that security is put in place. the power problem is going to be permanently settled. all the female students who recide outside the institution compound will be brought into the university rooms as the institution is going to evacuate the workers who reside in the institution houses. security lights will be put in place all over. the hostel which is under construction is going to be finished with immediate effect. All the things will be well at the end of this month", he said.
When he finished to make his speech, chaos arose as the students were not satisfied with his speech. the target point was at the shopping center in the stage. the student said that they were hungry and they wanted to top up their declining stoke in their rooms. when they reached at the stage they found the villages well armed with arrow and immediately the fight between the student and villagers broke up.this was the beginning of the saddest day which the vice chancellor had refereed to.
students took the advantage of their large number but the villagers decided to use the arrow to save their lives. While the students were running for their safety one of the student fell down and he was stumped on by the others. On the other hand the villager was seriously injured  and the two were rushed in the hospital for treatment
The students walked towards their rooms with sad faces and many were shading tears.Charity Maina you will permanently remain in comrades hearts. May your soul rest in piece.

LOVE IS LIKE FAITH WHICH CAN MOVE MOUNTAIN

Photo
Daniel Simiyu

Why he behave so!! Now days? This are the questions that I always ask my self. He is my best friend but I have tried to research in order to come up with the conclusion but all was not well and possible with me. I always  believe am a media personnel who has the nose for news but this round I was about to give u on the issue. This proved to me that all you do you must have patience and you cannot arrive on what you intend to do without putting God your creator first. At last I found my self getting a clue on what was happening with my best friend.
Love!! love!! is like faith which can move mountain. My friend is a staunch christian who has changed my life from a non believer to believer. he has contributed a lot of positive things in my life. He mend me from nothing to something. My achievement is his mentally and emotionality contribution. How can I leave him to go back where I was?
It was yesterdays weekend which I noticed unusual thing that I have ever seen him do since we started our friend ship two years ago. He is always a friend to many girls but this one left me astonished. He made me to find a place to spent a night living my only mattress which I only enjoy while am on secession. I did not believe what was happening that night. My friend behaved in an awkward manner like an a dict drunkard. I just went and found a place to lie my weak body with full of stress. I left him with her newly trapped bird. I tried to figure out if I have ever seen the girl among our company but my mind could not recall, but though the girl was not my first glance on her.
while I was a sleep I recalled a story that my very friend was narrating to me about how bad girls are and more was the story that he narrated to me was the story concerning the evil thing that the girl had committed since she joined campus. Another question now followed " was my friend a saviour who will make the girl repent and move away from Egypt to Canaan? And if so why is he spending a night with her yet he has many times assured me that he will never do such thing until he get married.  Was his marriage time ?
Morning came  and I decided to delay so that I find them awake. When I reached the room what I so left ma mouth wide open and my eyes glued on what was in the room not believing what I was seeing. at first I thought I was dreaming. My friend was not their the girl is not their and the rum was empty with only the university beds and mattresses belonging to I and him available in the room. Before I come  back from the world of confusion, my phone rung and the call was from the police station. Before I finished talking through the phone our university security were at the door. One of them was with a big cab, and the other one was holding a glittering slasher indicating that it was very sharp.
As I  started to ask what was wrong  the one who had a sharpened slasher lifted the slasher in the air with all the force. I made a loud scream requesting help from ma fellow comrade. I made an effort to  protect my head from being splashed into half by holding his hand. Ooh!! I was straggling with ma friends and I found my self being laughed at by my fellow room mate. My friend was waking me up to rush in the lecture as I was being late for the exam.

A UNIVERSITY STUDENT HIT BY A MOTORBIKE

A Moi University main campus, Eldoret, student was this morning seriously injured after he was hit by the over speeding motorist on the academic highway as he was heading for morning lecture.
The injured student was rushed in the university dispensary for first aid and later transferred to Moi and teaching referral hospital in Eldoret for further medication.
One of the students Kiplimo who witnessed the accident said that the motorist was moving at a very high speed after dropping a student near the lecture hall thus going to look for other passengers.
“The motorbike was moving in a high speed, the rider tried to escape the many students who were harrying for lecture but unfortunately he hit one of the students after the motorist become unable to control the speed of the motorbike,” Kiplimo said.
The motorist escaped with minor injuries after the angered students started throwing blows on him.
“Investigations have begun to look for the person who caused the accident as he escaped but the motorbike is held in the security office,” the Moi university chief security officer said.
In Moi University it is illegal for the motorists transport students to the lecture halls but it has come to be a routine for the students who reside outside the institution hostel to use motorbikes as they walk a long distance thus forced to use them. During morning hours they rush to take students in lecture halls and in the evening they rush to pick students to their rooms. Due to this rush accidents have became tampered in the institution.

THE MOI UNIVERSITY POLITICS.

PoliticsMost people all over the country have different views concerning politics. Politics is almost the same all over the levels of life. Starting from our primary and secondary schools for any leader to be elected politics must apply.
I always viewed politic as only practiced seriously during the countries general election but I came to learn that the strongest leader builds the strong foundation right from the base, "school politics" to country politics.
When I joined the University this is when I came to understand how the politics is taken seriously. The Campus elections are strong as that of the country election. As a media personnel I followed the campaigns and this is how Moi University con testers carried out their campaigns. politics in Moi university

THE UNIVERSITY WITH A DEFERENCE

Its all about changes and how you take the things and many things you come across. Changes are brought by the people not the buildings that are available. Changes are brought by the real action not the empty promises that are always made especially during the functions with multitude people.
My dream was to join Moi university and surely I made it. The day I received the huge envelop at first I did not believe my eyes but Thought I was in the usual way of building the castles in the air. This was the first time I was referred to as MR.  When I opened the envelop what I so made ma heart beat vigorously. Around me were my family members. This was the time I believed when you do the right thing every body will genuinely appreciate. My mother sister and my younger brother were singing praise song and my father was on his knees praying and giving thank to the almighty.
The awaited time came for me to join the university I had dreamed of. All the people in my village gave me a farewell through a fund raising which was catalyzed by my family background and being the only person from my family and the area as a whole every body came and for the first time I held a lamp sum amount of money.
On my way to the university I was accompanied by my father. when we approached the gate, the first phase I read was the "THE UNIVERSITY WITH A DIFFERENCE". I knew I was going to a place next to heaven because I have had the university students calling themselves comrade and during the strikes their leader always said that " the voice of comrades is the voice next to God's voice.
As we entered the campus I was astonished to see many people moving up and down and the highways were full of so called students who were not in their uniform.I came to learn that university students have no specific uniform to wear.
The irony about the nice building and pavements came when I was to be allocated the room. I  was forced to queue from the time I arrived until night when I was allocated a room in the name of temporary accommodation. I was temporary accommodated for about a week when I was given a room outside the campus about three kilometers away. This is the day I came to believe that money speaks as those whose had swollen pockets benefited with the hostels room.  This is the day when started to the the university's phrase"a university with a difference".
The hard life started immediately I signed in the room I was given. Life outside campus was not easy especially being new in the campus.Life became more terrible than our humble home life. what I expected become the opposite. The pavement roads I thought would be using become the mad roads outside the institution. the lights in the campus became the frequent blackouts in the outside institution rooms. I was forced to increase my expense by buying the things which the others student in the hostels have no idea about them. Gumboots, "Jiko" and Charcoal are some of the things I was forced to buy in order to sustain may life in the Campus.
The life as a first year in Campus was the most terrible life I had never experienced but thank God I was hardened and I believe I will the strongest man in the society and the industry as a whole. NEVER GIVE UP
